Hanami, which is the spring Japanese tradition of enjoying the Sakura blooming — is one of the most stunning holidays in Japan. It is associated with the start of cherry blossom — a tree that is generous with its delicate flowers. Hanami means outdoor gatherings under the blossoming trees. It takes only ten days for Sakura to bloom, and then let their petals fall to the ground; thus, the whole of Japan turns into a wonder of the world. Elegant and bright trees gather residents, who are eager to admire the beauty of the coming spring. The opening of the Japanese Sakura blossom season takes place in the Central Park of Tokyo, in the presence of the Imperial family.
